A principios de noviembre del 2017, la hija de "El Ojos", Liliana Pérez Ramírez, de 30 años de edad, fue detenida por posesión de 31 pastillas de droga sintética, en la Delegación Coyoacán.
Mancera Espinosa comentó: "Se intervino en un punto específico, con trabajo de gabinete y coordinado del Gobierno de la Ciudad y Gobierno de la República, un grupo de la Marina logró tener intervención efectiva y Ricardo Ferro Pérez, alias 'Peque' o 'Richi', probable sobrino de Felipe Pérez Luna, perdió la vida en este operativo". "'Richie' o 'El peque', quien es presuntamente sobrino de Felipe Pérez, conocido como El Ojos", dijo el jefe de gobierno. Resultado del intercambio de disparos, murió Ricardo Ferro Pérez.
