This marks the first time we've ever seen a tablet in the real-world that's natively running Chrome OS instead of Android, and while Acer wasn't publically showing the tablet at BETT, it's apparent that this is something the company is working on.

Specifications are obviously still very thin on the ground, but we do know that the tablet had a companion stylus from the popular pen company Staedtler and might well be an addition to Acer's Iconia lineup. Though this tablet hasn't received an official reveal, we're seeing the first image of it today.

There was originally a photo of the device tweeted out by an attendee, but the tweet has since been mysteriously deleted. A standalone tablet device seems to be the only thing that's missing from its line of Chrome OS devices.

That's pretty much where the details begin and end.

This Acer-branded tablet was unveiled at the Bett 2018 education show in London, where all sorts of technology used to better education is showcased for all to see.

Ultimately, though, there's still a lot of mystery surrounding this device. But since it wasn't on display and hasn't been officially announced, we don't have any further information.

It wasn't too long ago that we reported a new feature that appeared in the Dev Channel of Chrome OS: split-screen operation in tablet mode.
