The 29-year-old Sanchez, who was out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season, has joined the Old Trafford club after local rivals Manchester City had pulled out of the race.
Sanchez is expected to be the highest ever paid player in the Premier League, with British media reporting a pre-tax salary of £500,000 (S$922,000) a week.
Sanchez had joined Arsenal in 2014 for £31.7 million after three years at Barcelona.
