Push is on to raise sexual misconduct awareness at Grammys
The chain of allegations and the subsequent #MeToo movement were first sparked by an October New York Times exposé into movie mogul Harvey Weinstein's alleged decades of sexual misconduct, including accusations of rape.

Celebrities will be attending this year's Grammy Awards donning white roses in support of the Time's Up anti-sexual harassment movement.
The protest, the brainchild of music industry executives Karen Rait and Meg Harkins, comes after many Hollywood actresses wore black dresses at the Golden Globe Awards for the same cause. "We choose the white rose because historically it stands for hope, peace, sympathy, and resistance", Voices in Entertainment wrote in a letter sent to planned attendees of the ceremony.

It was a powerful and uplifting way to kick off the 2018 awards season, but some wondered if and how other ceremonies would follow.
The white rose was chosen in part because it could be done quickly but also because the color has been long used as part of the women's suffragette movement; Hillary Clinton wore white when she accepted the Democratic nomination for president in 2016.
This week, the women have been reaching out to their contacts, encouraging them to also wear white roses. "The world is listening".
