Arturo Vidal sends message to Alexis Sanchez about joining Man Utd

The January transfer window is in full swing so clubs are working hard trying to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season and put deals in place for the summer.

Vidal yesterday congratulated Sanchez for securing a transfer to Man Utd.

Vidal's all-action style of play is perfectly suited to the Premier League and it makes ideal sense for both Manchester United and Chelsea to go all out in the race to sign the 30-year-old midfielder.

The Chilean worldwide has provided 21 goals and 18 assists in 114 appearances to help the Bundesliga giants win consecutive league and cup doubles in Germany.

Vidal is likely to reconsider his future at the end of the season, but for now he is going nowhere.

Chilean journalist Maks Cardenas claims Man United are interested in a deal for Vidal, who now plays for Bayern Munich.

"I'm happy at Bayern Munich and I will continue here until June", Vidal has been quoted as saying. In June he will still have one year of contract and has offers from China and Italy.

According to Chilean journalist Maks Cardenas, there is a chance Vidal could follow worldwide team-mate Alexis Sanchez to Old Trafford.

And, as per the aforementioned update from the Daily Express this evening, Vidal looks set to be the subject of a Premier League bidding war if he does in fact become available, with Manchester United ready to challenge Chelsea for the South American's signature.

With uncertainty surrounding Marouane Fellaini's future, according to The Telegraph, and Michael Carrick's impending retirement, the Red Devils could definitely do with another quality addition to their midfield.
