A gunman is on the loose with one dead and two injured in Amsterdam
The Amsterdam police released a statement Friday evening stating one man had been killed in the "multiple shootings", while two others had been transferred to a nearby hospital with injuries.
Witnesses told Het Parool the attack in the residential area of Grote Wittesburgstraat took place by a youth club where activities including a cooking club for children were taking place.
Witnesses report that the deceased victim was a male teenager, but police are yet to confirm the age of the victim.
Other reports suggest the gunmen were carrying AK-47 machine guns and "came looking" for the young victim who is of Moroccan origin. The area where the shooting took place was cordoned off by police.
They allegedly searched the building, forcing teens to hide under tables.
Police have confirmed that several shots were fired.

The incident does not appear to be terror related.
"This is the third criminal incident this week in Amsterdam, so people are very sensitive to gunfire", Mr Dortland said.
Images posted to social show a huge emergency services presence at the scene of the shooting, in the busy Amsterdam neighbourhood of Grote Wittesburgstraat, in the east of the city.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene following reports that a kick boxing student had been shot dead.
