EA Sports Teams Up With ESPN Disney XD and the NFL for Madden eSports Coverage
Electronic Arts said that ESPN, Disney XD, and the NFL will team up to show live exclusive broadcasts of the Madden NFL 18 Club Championship at the upcoming Pro Bowl and Super Bowl, in addition to airing the brand new, pro-oriented Madden NFL Ultimate League.
In one of the qualifying majors, the Madden NFL 18 Club Championship, the 32 NFL franchises are each represented by one Madden competitor who advanced through an elimination process during the season. The Madden NFL 18 Club Championship at the Pro Bowl will be on ESPNEWS; the finals at the Super Bowl will be on ESPN2/Deportes; and the Ultimate League Championship final will be on ESPN2.
"The Madden NFL Ultimate League is purposely created to make superstars of our best players, allowing viewers to develop player loyalties and follow competitor rivalries", said Todd Sitrin, senior vice president and general manager of EA's competitive gaming division said in a news release. The tournament is taking place at the Pro Bowl and features players repping all 32 National Football League teams.
The Madden NFL Ultimate League will pit 16 of the game's best players against each other in one-on-one matches starting Friday, February 2 and will until the NFL Draft on April 28. Fans can tune-in to ESPNEWS starting on January 27th to catch the quarterfinal action.

The league produced the EA Madden NFL 18 Challenge, a one-hour esports documentary on The CW that gave a behind-the-scenes look for both Madden fans and people that don't understand how tough and hectic competitive gaming can get. Episodes will also be available on demand on the ESPN App.
This deal is big news for fans of Madden and esports alike.
