Bulls' LaVine set to make season debut Saturday

Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine is back. After working his way open behind the 3-point line, LaVine took a pass from Kris Dunn and didn't hesitate to shoot.

This will be the first meeting between the Pistons and the Bulls in 2017-18.

The moment was the latest step in LaVine's 11-month personal recovery from a torn ACL in his left knee he suffered as a member of the Timberwolves.

LaVine was making his Bulls debut after being acquired from Minnesota in the Jimmy Butler trade.

Since a 3-20 start, the Bulls are now 13-7 record over their last 20 games.

They are in the Champions League, they look like they will be in the final of the League Cup and the FA Cup as well potentially. I am fully committed in this and I am happy in what I am doing now and what I did in the past.

LaVine will play the first 5 to 6 minutes of the first and third quarters. With LaVine on the bench, the Bulls were able to close out the Pistons.

Avery Bradley (26 points) missed a 3-pointer that would have given the Pistons the lead. Leading 107-105 after a Markkanen jumper with 1:08 left, the Bulls had a chance to close the game out but Justin Holiday turned the ball over.

LaVine started for the Bulls on Saturday night and got off to a hot start, scoring five points in the opening quarter. With the win, Detroit improved to 22-18 overall and 9-13 on the road where they snapped a four-game skid. It's playing the game I love and it's doing it.

Lopez then had the first two baskets of the second OT, and after the Knicks got the next two, Dunn made his shot to make it 118-116. That meant another guy trying to get used to the offense, and also meant reduced minutes for other wing players. "I met with all the different players this will affect in the rotation. It's one of the best feelings to go out there, play in front of 20,000-plus people, your teammates supporting you, coaches that support you, medical staff, your family, a lot of people having your back". "It's going to affect everybody's minutes to an extent". This one is a real coin flip and in these situations, I usually go for the home team, but the Pistons looked great in their last outing and I don't see why they can't keep things rolling with another win, especially since they've covered in eight of the last 11 meetings against the Bulls.
