Morocco v Sudan Chan 2018
NAMIBIA's wonderful run at the 2018 Chan championships came to an end when they lost 2-0 to Morocco at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca on Saturday evening.
Morocco, who replaced Kenya as hosts after they were stripped of the event due to concerns over infrastructure, opened the scoring eight minutes before half-time through Ayoub El Kaabi.
Benoun had a second chance to make amends but his header from Bencharki's free-kick went off target in the 29 minute.
Morocco can now look forward to a semi final back in Casablanca against either Congo-Brazzaville or Libya who meet in Agadir on Sunday to contest the fourth quarter final.
Morocco steadily took control and Loydt Kazapua was forced to palm away an effort which swirled towards him after 15 minutes.
Goals either side of half time from Ayoub El Kaabi and Salaheddine Saidi saw the Atlas Lions to a deserved victory over the Brave Warriors, who can be proud of their underdog efforts at the Chan tournament.

Morocco dominated possession and El Kaaby came close with a header from a corner shortly after the break before Saidi headed in from a corner seven minutes after the break.
Morocco did have chances to extend their lead with Bencharki shooting just wide after a good dribble in the Namibian area and then Mohammed Nahiri hitting the bar.
