UK Pakistani-origin lawmaker leads protests in London to call for Kashmir Khalistan freedom
The Pakistan-backed "black day" campaign, which coincides with India's Republic Day and took place outside the Indian High Commission in the heart of Central London, aimed at highlighting the "oppression in India".
Members of the Indian diaspora on Friday protested against Pakistani-origin United Kingdom politician Lord Nazir Ahmed, who held an anti-India campaign on the occasion of the nation's 69th Republic Day on January 26, reported PTI. They were met by an equal number of counter-protesters and soon scuffles broke out, leading to police intervention.
Hundreds of demonstrators led by Lord Nazir Ahmed demanded freedom for Kashmir and Khalistan from India.
Indian Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju has praised the pro-India groups that protested against the Kashmiri separatist activists in London on January 26.
Kiren Rijuju tweeted to express his joy, "Salute to the Indian patriots in London". The Labour Party ousted him for his anti-Semitic views and sympathy towards radical Islamists.

Some London based media reported said that Lord Ahmed told the journalists that the vans with anti India slogans would travel to other areas with a large Indian diaspora, including Birmingham, and Manchester, and would continue until Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Britain in April.
The Labour Party appears to be not only anti-Israel (this week Labour advised their MPs to block a blanket ban on Hezbollah) and anti-US (Emily Thornberry, Shadow Defence Secretary called President Trump "an asteroid of awfulness"), but also anti-India.
A pro-Pakistan leader and controversial leader going by the name Lord Nazir Ahmed sits in the House of Lords.
