As the retrial in his sexual assault case looms ahead, the disgraced comedian honored Tony Williams on Monday night at LaRosa Jazz Club in Cosby's hometown of Philadelphia.
Mr. Cosby's camp issued a press release that announced that the comedy icon returned to the stage at the Larose Jazz Club in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He joked: 'Let me tell you something about people talking to blind people, you sighted people. The Philadelphia prosecutors are looking to call back some of the 19 women that accused Mr. Cosby to use as character witnesses. The judge set March 29 as the beginning date for jury selection, with the trial set to begin on April 2.
People in the audience say the jazz community is very compassionate and empathetic. A mistrial was declared after 12 selected jurors failed to reach a unanimous verdict.
One of the most notorious cases of sexual harassment/assault that gained major media traction has been that of Bill Cosby, whose antics have tarnished the once-loved comedian's reputation.
Cosby bizarrely said to a reporter "Don't put me on #MeToo", but perhaps unbeknownst to The Cosby Show creator, there is no master list of all the predatory men. Cosby pled not guilty during the trial, which was to discuss this specific claim made against him, despite there being multiple other allegations made over the last few years.

During Cosby's June trial, McMonagle and Agrusa argued Cosby was the victim of false accusations and that the entertainer and Constand had a "romantic relationship" and consensual sexual contact during the 2004 incident. Bill Cosby and his new lawyers will have a hearing in Montgomery County Court about dropping his old counsel, adding his new counsel and if the jury pool will be taken out of county again.
It marks the first time Cosby is to perform in public since May 2015, when CNN reported that he was interrupted twice in Atlanta after a string of women had already come forward to accuse him of s*xual assault.
