A meat delivery to 99 Ranch Market a local supermarket disgusted San Jose shoppers and raised questions of sanitation after the vendor was caught on camera using a Costco shopping cart to wheel unpackaged raw meats into the store a report says
Loretta Seto couldn't believe what she was seeing at a San Jose supermarket Thursday, so she took our her cellphone and snapped photos of the surreal scene.
Her post rapidly circulated around the web, with analysts getting out the store for the unsanitary conveyance technique.
A woman's photos of Costco shopping carts being used to haul slabs of raw, uncovered meat into a Northern California grocery store are turning stomachs on social media and have prompted an investigation, according to KNTV.
While it's not yet clear why shopping carts were used to transport the meat, the carts most likley came from the Costco warehouse across the street from the market, according to SFGate. "Talk about disgusting!" Seto wrote.
She posted it on her Facebook page noticing: 'I'm generally alright with putting the children in the seat of the bin, yet this is an unheard of level of gross.
A 99 Ranch Market representative replied to Seto on Facebook, saying that an internal investigation had been opened and the meat in question had been discarded.

99 Ranch Market revealed to NBC that they were ignorant of the circumstance until the point when they saw Seto's photographs.
She said both employees have been fired.
The Santa Clara Department of Environmental Health is now investigating the alleged incident, officials told NBC.
On Seto's Facebook page, the market apologized, 'we are finding a way to determine this issue by exploring this case further and recording a protestation against our merchant'. "Thank you for your patience and understanding".
