Iran said Saturday it won't accept any changes to its 2015 nuclear deal with world powers after President Donald Trump vowed to pull out of the accord in a few months if European allies did not fix its "terrible flaws".

But in doing so, a senior administration official said that Trump would not sign any more such waivers going forward- starting a 120-day clock for negotiations over what the White House describes as a supplemental accord with Europe that will impose new terms on Iran over its future nuclear work.

Under the terms of the landmark agreement the United States president must certify the deal every 90 days and pass sanction waivers every 120 days.

President Donald Trump waived nuclear sanctions against Iran for what the White House said was the final time under the current deal.

Mr Trump said in a statement, "despite my strong inclination, I have not yet withdrawn the United States from the Iran nuclear deal", saying this was the last chance to fix it.

The Treasury Department also announced on Friday that sanctions would be leveled against 14 individuals and entities in Iran that are connected to "serious human rights abuses and censorship in Iran" as well as Iran's missile program.

Trump said this is the last chance, and in the absence of an agreement, the U.S. would not remain a party to the deal.

Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said it was a "desperate attempt" to undermine a "solid" deal.

"Fourth, the legislation must explicitly state in United States law-for the first time-that long-range missile and nuclear weapons programs are inseparable, and that Iran's development and testing of missiles should be subject to severe sanctions". Iranian officials have said they are not considering making the missile program negotiable.
