President Trump today refused to back off his contention that trade needs to be "fair" as well as "free", maintaining a campaign promise that he will take measures on trade created to protect American workers from unfair overseas practices. "When the United States grows, so does the world", he added.
As I have said, the United States is prepared to negotiate mutually beneficial, bilateral trade agreements with all countries.

Officials say the speech will project a vision of free nations cooperating on shared goals.
