Nationalist Congress Party leader and former Kerala minister, A K Saseendran, has been acquitted in the sensational sleaze talk by the Thiruvananthapuram Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Saturday.

The complainant, a channel reporter had the other day stated to the chief judicial magistrate that she doesn't remember whether the former minister misbehaved with her. She alleged that Saseendran made sexual advances towards her when she called him for official goal.

Thaikkad-native Mahalakshmi had filed a petition in the court against settling the case.

The acquittal assumes significance as it may pave way for Saseendran's return to the cabinet.

The court will also hear this plea today.
