S Ecstasy as Falconets seal World Cup place in spectacular style
Nigeria's Falconets have qualified for the 2018 Federation Internationale de Football Association U-20 Women's World Cup after thrashing South Africa 6-0 in the second leg of the final round of the qualifiers at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin, on Saturday.
The Falconets got off to the flawless start as Monday made it 1-0 following a pass from Rasheedat Ajibade.
Ajibade turned scorer in the 21st minute, when she rounded up the South Africa goalkeeper before she found the back of the net.
The very entertaining match which was played at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin, Edo State, saw the Coach Christopher Danjuma girls scoring 5 goals against the Basetsana in the first half of the encounter.
The South Africans became more aggressive and even came close to scoring in the early minutes of the second half but were denied the opportunity by the Nigerian keeper, Annadozie Chiamaka.

The 8-0 aggregate win means the Christopher Danjuma- led girls will now fly the continent's flag in France, becoming one of only three countries to have qualified for every edition of the World Cup, with U.S. and Germany the other two nations.
Falconets are two-time World Cup silver medallists, and the Chris Danjuma's maidens are on the brink to seal their spot at the 9th edition of the FIFA World Cup.
