USA marshals arrested a Las Vegas man in Chicago in connection with the death of his 10-month-old child, the Metropolitan Police Department announced Friday.
Police say they were called to a Las Vegas home on Tuesday after medical personnel went there and found a 10-month-old boy who wasn't breathing.
Authorities say Eric Chu was arrested Friday at a Greyhound bus station by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents and local police. Medical personnel determined that the victim had sustained various life-threatening injuries that appeared to be the result of a battery.
The child was rushed to Summerlin Hospital and later transferred to University Medical Center where the death occurred Wednesday, police said.

Police identified Chu as the suspect and determined he had fled Las Vegas.
Metro Police received information that Chu might be headed to Chicago. On Friday, Jan. 26, the U.S. Marshalls located and arrested Chu in Chicago.
The identity of the baby, as well as the cause and manner of his death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
