Police also said that it was a case of misinterpretation of an intelligence input by central security agencies that a Pune-based woman, who was detained by Maharashtra ATS on various occasions, was planning an attack on Republic Day in the Valley.
Sources said the woman was arrested in south Kashmir.

A message circulated from the office of Inspector General of Police (Kashmir) to the police and security wing in Kashmir suggested that "there is a strong input" that the 18-year-old suspect might "cause a suicide bomb explosion" at the Republic Day parade in Kashmir. In that context, the Kashmir police have contacted the Pune police about the whereabouts of a Pune girl, Sadia Anwar Shaikh. She had earlier been counselled and had run away from home.
However, the suspect bomber was along with an accomplice detained by the police on Thursday night and the investigation is underway. Investigators said she was staying with her mother and other family members in Kondhwa and Yerwada area of Pune.
"They (militant outfits) are trying hard to get youth especially some educated youth into militancy but we are countering it the way we have to", he said.
The Republic Day celebrations passed off peacefully in Kashmir.
Munir Ahmad Khan told reporters on the sidelines of January 26 function that after walking on all the leads, police succeeded in arresting the suspected suicide bomber.
