People Outraged as Google Home Identifies Buddha, Muhammad and Satan But Not Jesus Christ
"Google knew who I was, but Google did not know who Jesus was".
However, when asked who is Jesus, Jesus Christ or God the smart speaker says it does not know the answer.
"I'm no Bible thumper, but I am a Believer who believes that we need to stand up for our beliefs and we need to stand up for Jesus", he wrote.
Confirmed: Google Smart Home Audio products apparently have a problem knowing who Jesus is. Other social media users have posted videos of virtual assistants identifying religious figures including Buddha and Satan.
Television producer, author, and speaker David Sams took it upon himself to compare the answers of his Google Home and Amazon's Alexa during a Facebook Live video.
"The reason the Google Assistant didn't respond with information about 'Who is Jesus?' or 'Who is Jesus Christ?' wasn't out of disrespect but instead to ensure respect", the company said.

A small minority of Christians have questioned the absence of an explanation for the Jesus question, though, with some fearing that Google is deliberately censoring that response.
The Google Home device is powered by Google Assistant, which also runs on Android and other platforms.
Another Nashville resident, Martin Collins, told Fox 17, "They took prayer out of schools, they think just taking Jesus out of everything is politically correct these days and I think that's the stem of a lot of our problems".

When asked who Muhammad is, Assistant offers a much shorter, simpler answers: "Muhammad was the founder of Islam". "There are now some 40 million smart audio products in homes across America".
As seen in Sams' video, the Alexa issue might have been resolved but people are now demanding Google Home give Jesus/God fair treatment.
