'Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery' mobile game comes alive in first trailer
Not related to the Niantic game announced previous year, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is a new mobile RPG set in the J.K Worling wizarding universe.
According to the developers, the upcoming Harry Potter game, dubbed Hogwarts Mystery, will have RPG-style mechanics, allowing the players to develop their characters as they see fit.
As for the game itself, according to the devs, as a wizard/witch freshman, you will be able to attend various classes, learn new spells and skills, hone those you've already know, and of course, make new friends.
The inclusion of one of Dumbledore's many famous lines: "It is not our abilities that show what we truly are; it is our choices", suggests the game will contain all sorts of paths and story-based arcs!

Hogwarts Mystery is a mobile game set in the roughly 11-12 years between Harry's birth and his enrollment at Hogwarts, promising appearances from the younger versions of familiar characters such as Nymphadora Tonks and Bill Weasley, as well as Hogwarts faculty such as Professor Snape and Hagrid.
Unfortunately, Jam City is keeping a tight lid on this project, meaning that's about everything we know about the game's mechanics. The game will be available for both iOS and Android in the spring after making its official debut during "A Celebration of Harry Potter" at Universal Studios Orlando in late January.
Developed by Jam City (who also developed Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow and Marvel's Avenger Academy), the game will let players participate in activities in Hogwarts as depicted in the movies and books. "Interactive Entertainment - will invite you to join Hogwarts in the 1980s, and will feature many of your favourite things from the Harry Potter stories".
