A collision between a plane and a helicopter at the Northern Colorado Regional Airport in Loveland has injured one of the pilots.

The helicopter ended up on its side on the south end of the runway, while the plane was of the north end.

The Beechcraft Bonanza plane and the Robinson R44 helicopter were both on the ground at the time of the incident. One of the pilots was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

"It could have been much worse", Licon said. The cause of the crash is under investigation. The Loveland Police Department were also on scene to secure the airport from public access, Ward said. It was reopened by about 3:45 p.m.
