Sandeep Lamichhane
Sandeep Lamichhane became the first Nepal cricketer to be picked by an IPL team on the second day of 2018 auction at Bengaluru.
Lamichhane was picked by Delhi Daredevils for his base price of INR 20 Lakh and thus he became the first Nepali cricketer to be part of any IPL side. And he is 17-year-old spinner Sandeep Lamichhane from Nepal. Lamichhane ended up as the second-highest wicket-taker with 14 dismissals in the tournament, helping his team finish at the eight place. The bowler also featured in International Cricket Council's (ICC) Future Stars XI after the U19 World Cup.
The spinner had taken a five-for against Ireland in the 2016 U-19 World Cup and that was the time when he became a spin sensation.
Former Australia captain Michael Clarke was also impressed with Sandeep's performance, who had chosen this teen to play for Hong Kong T20 Blitz.
