The U.S. Embassy in will move to Jerusalem by the end of 2019, U.S. Vice President said in a speech to the Israeli parliament on Monday that highlighted a policy shift that has stoked Palestinian anger and worldwide concern. The recent announcement by Trump to move the embassy was met with backlash from Palestinian leadership, with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas slamming Trump's plan as "the slap of the century".
Though shunned by the Palestinians, the Trump administration says it remains committed to helping them and Israel negotiate a peace deal.
"I call upon countries to refrain from opening any diplomatic representation in Jerusalem", Abbas said in his trademark soft but powerful tone.
The Palestinian Authority (PA), which has limited governance over the occupied West Bank, was established following the Oslo Accords.

"He did a great service for peace because peace can only be based on truth, on reality".
He reiterated that due to Trump's decision regarding Jerusalem, the United States can no longer be a mediator.
