Maru's relatives have alleged that he lost his life due to a ward boy's negligence who asked him to take the cylinder inside the MRI room whilst the machine was on, according to reports in NDTV.

The family said Maru had gone inside the machine but he had to be pulled out by force due to the strong magnetic power of the machine.

The shocking accident took place in a government hospital in Mumbai Central when 32-year-old Rajesh Maru accompanied his relative to the scanning room.

Talking about the incident, Harish Solanki, the victim's relative reportedly said, "When we told him that metallic things aren't allowed inside an MRI room, he said "sab chalta hai, hamara roz ka kaam hai" (it's fine, we do it every day)".

A hospital attendant at MRI room said that the MRI machine was not switched on when Maru was brought in the MRI room. He died within two minutes. "No hospital authority has approached us accepting their mistake", Solanki stated. Soon after the death of Maru, the family members along with local people and BJP MLA MP Lodha protested inside the dean's cabin and demanded an immediate action against the culprits. Further investigation is underway.
