Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill signs a new two-year contract extension, while assistant Roy Keane and fellow backroom staff members have also agreed to stay on.

John Delaney, the FAI chief executive, said last week that O'Neill would sign the new deal ahead of this Wednesday's Nations League draw.

Stoke then officially offered O'Neill the chance to take over at the bet365 Stadium but O'Neill turned down the offer.

"We have got a couple of friendly games coming up and that might be the time to introduce some younger players who are pretty hungry - so let's see how that goes", he said last week.
