Mauricio Pochettino has hit out at Arsene Wenger by telling him to pay attention to his own club, saying it was a "mistake" to suggest Arsenal are judged to a different standard than Spurs and Liverpool.

Prior to Arsenal's League Cup semi-final win over Chelsea on Wednesday, Wenger - who has come under fire regarding the Gunners' failure to win the English Premier League title since 2004 - said pundits "celebrate some teams who have not been in a final for 25 years".
Pochettino, meanwhile, has told his players to treat Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round trip to League Two Newport County with all the gravity of a major European fixture - or risk entering the competition's folklore as victims of a giant-killing. "Everyone sometimes makes a mistake and for me he made a mistake to talk about us or a different team".
Spurs last faced Newport in 1960, a year before they won an historic double, and Pochettino added: "History is so important - in life, in football, in everything".
"But I am realistic... in England from the beginning of the season and today, there's many changes on the Premier League benches".
