Melania Trump skips Davos, visits museum and heads to Florida
The world hasn't heard much from Stormy Daniels since news reports announced she had been paid to remain silent of an alleged affair with President Trump before he won the GOP nomination. "It's been upsetting and humiliating; her relationship with President Trump has become strained", a White House insider revealed to the Daily Mail.
She is claimed to have gone to stay in a hotel before jetting off to the Trump's resort Mar-a-Lago in Florida for a couple of days while her hubby was in Switzerland.
A White House source told DailyMail.com: "Melania spends three to four days a week away from the White House and has stayed at a hotel in D.C. multiple times in January, often for days at a time".
In an interview with Inside Edition, Daniels said that she has received serious enough threats over the last few weeks that she has felt the need to hire security guards to protect her.
The White House has called the claims "old, recycled reports, which were published and strongly denied prior to the election", and his lawyer says the reports of a payment are "completely false". When asked why Melania backed out of the trip, her communications director Stephanie Grisham blamed it on "scheduling and logistical issues", according to CNN.

Instead of travelling to Davos with her husband, Mrs Trump visited the Holocaust museum in D.C. on Thursday morning and tweeted about her "powerful and moving" visit before flying to West Palm Beach later that afternoon.
The WSJ reported that Stephanie Clifford (Daniels' real name), had a sexual encounter with Trump after she met him at a golf tournament at Lake Tahoe in 2006, sometime after Trump married Melania Knauss in 2005.
