The Latest: USA Gymnastics suspends ex-women's coach Geddert
On Monday, USA Gymnastics announced chairman Paul Parilla, vice-chairman Jay Binder and treasurer Bitsy Kelley had tendered their resignations from the board of directors effective from January 21.
The resignations, which were also supported by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), came as former team doctor Larry Nassar's sentencing hearing continued in MI.
The three are linked to the scandal revolving around former team doctor Larry Nassar.
Nassar has pleaded guilty to multiple charges of sexual assault under the guise of medical treatment.
At least one woman has also testified that she reported the sexual abuse to officials at Michigan State University, where Larry Nassar also practiced sports medicine.
Emily Morales waited until the last minute to contact the MI attorney general's office but she finally had her chance to confront the man who gained her trust before sexually assaulting her on multiple occasions.
She went on to say "Countless members of my team, my friends and I, were sent to see Nassar and needlessly put in harm's way". At times, she looked directly at Nassar while she condemned him and praised her teammates for coming forward.

Raisman was among the numerous women who delivered impact statements last week in Nassar's case. "We believe this step will allow us to more effectively move forward in implementing change within our organization".
In his current trial, Nassar accepted a plea deal that calls for a minimum range of 25 to 40 years in prison.
