Perth woman hit by own car in Dianella dies

A 41-YEAR-OLD woman has died after she was struck by her own vehicle in Dianella on Thursday afternoon.

According to WA Police, the crash occurred when the woman stopped a grey Hyundai i30 hatchback, 2008 model in a driveway at a residence on Grand Promenade.

The woman got out of the vehicle to open a garage door and the auto started to move backwards.

The auto then hit a wall before rolling into Grand Promenade and coming to a stop.

The woman suffered critical injuries and later died at Royal Perth Hospital.
