Calipari took to Twitter congratulate both Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins for making the NBA All-Star game as starters. Cousins earns his fourth consecutive All-Star nod, his first as a starter and as a member of the Pelicans, and the seventh player in franchise history to be named an All-Star.
Davis won 2017 All-Star Game MVP in New Orleans while Cousins was limited to less than three minutes of playing time as his trade from the Sacramento Kings was simultaneously being finalized.
The other starters from the Western Conference included Golden State's Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant along with Houston's James Harden.
For this year's All-Star game, Devin Booker, Karl Anthony-Towns and John Wall seem like the most likely candidates to also make the All-Star game.

Davis has averaged 26.7 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.1 blocks and 1.1 steals per game while Cousins has put up 25.3 points, 12.7 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.6 steals per game.
