Prince Alwaleed bin Talal leaves the High Court in London
Saudi Arabian billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, detained in the kingdom's sweeping crackdown on corruption, said on Saturday that he expected to be cleared of any wrongdoing and be released from custody within days.
Saudi daily Okaz, citing unnamed sources, said the men held in Riyadh's Ritz-Carlton hotel were set free after reaching settlements with the authorities.
The prince and the others were held at the posh Ritz-Carlton since early November.
The interview came as a number of other senior figures caught up in the corruption probe reached financial settlements with the government for their release.
Talal, who is worth more than $17bn according to Forbes, and owns stakes in Twitter, Lyft and Citigroup, besides holding global investment firm Kingdom Holding Co, is facing charges of money laundering, bribery and extorting officials.
Critics also said Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman initiated the drive to intimidate potential opponents and consolidate his grip on the country.
Al-Ibrahim is the brother-in-law of Saudi Arabia's late King Fahd and chairman of MBC, which has more than a dozen television channels including the news network Al Arabiya. "There are just some discussions between me and the government", he said.

"I believe we are on the verge of finishing everything within days". "I'm like at home, frankly speaking", he said.
Prince Alwaleed had appeared frail in comparison to his last public appearance in a televised interview last October, but confirmed that he had been treated well, dismissing rumours that said otherwise.
The prince also refused the rumours of mistreatment during the arrest, adding that he was staying in the hotel with his preferred things and was not shifted to the prison. Among them is former finance minister and minister of state, Ibrahim al-Assaf, who led Saudi Arabia's delegation to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, in the past week, and former National Guard chief Prince Miteb bin Abdullah, recently photographed attending a horse race with Prince Mohammed.
In the aftermath of the purge, Saudi Arabia's Attorney General said at least $100 billion had been misused through systemic corruption and embezzlement going back decades.
The prince said he was particularly upset by media reports that he had been sent to prison and tortured.
He has said he plans to live in the kingdom after his release.
