No cases of Tide Pod poisoning yet reported in Nova Scotia

After beginning as a series of YouTube videos featuring teenagers chewing on highly caustic tide pods, The Tide Pod challenge has left several dead and has become the first bonafide stupid Internet phenomena of 2018. Despite the danger, the social media posts garnered attention around the world. During the next week, there were another 47 cases reported, bringing the total number of teens sent to a poison control center for eating laundry detergent to 86 this year. "I created this video after my wife and i talked to my children - ages 16, 13 (and) 10 - about making good choices and not doing these types of challenges that they see on social media, TV, etc".

"Until there's that kind of process of amplification of, for example, the Herald covering it, many people in Nova Scotia would never have thought of the Tide Pod challenge", Ramos said.

Fox News contributor Tomi Lahren is angry about teenagers filming themselves eating Tide Pods, and she knows exactly whom to blame: Liberals. "It's a parenting problem, like many things wrong with modern society".

So by asking why it's exploding in popularity, mainstream media is actually helping it explode?

"In this case Tide's PR team has one primary mission - make certain nobody, and I mean nobody, could even possibly think the brand endorses eating their product", Bernstein said.

In an email to Salon, Procter & Gamble spokeswoman Petra Renck said the Tide team was very anxious about the meme. And yet, in a recent video rant, Lahren blamed the "detergent-eating craze" on the breakdown of the American family and the left's monopoly on popular media.
