The reporter, Tisha Thompson, peppered Izzo with questions stemming from the bombshell Outside The Lines report on the handling of sexual assault allegations at Michigan State. An Outside the Lines report unearthed a previously unreported 2010 incident in which a Spartans assistant coach was charged with punching a female Michigan State student. "Every one", he said. There are so many things you don't know. It is a Michigan State university issue.it is a Michigan State athletics issue. "I'm sure it was draining at the end for me".

But Izzo, typically in a jaunty mood after a win, was in no mood for levity. "And I hope we'll rally around people that need us".

Izzo, too, has had calls for his job and has faced speculation over whether he'll retire, but the coach said Friday that he isn't "going anywhere".

"It's been insane", Winston said. This is just really a family.

That's about as specific as Izzo got, likely on the advice of university lawyers. We've had a little adversity. "A lot of things could have happened, but we found a way to stick together and fight through this".

Izzo is clearly fighting to keep his once-pristine reputation intact. "We've done it before and we'll do it moving forward, and that's about all I want to say on it, that we did cooperate with everything". "That's all I am going to say on it", he said.

Thompson: 'Let me ask you this question then: "Looking back at the way sexual assault allegations have been handled by your basketball program, do you have any regrets?"

"It's hard to focus on basketball, and when I do, I feel guilty", Izzo said. As you know, I'll still say I'll cooperate with any investigation that's made.

Mark Dantonio spoke to the media early Friday evening, calling the allegations that he mishandled sexual assault complaints "absolutely false", and later that night, after the Spartans had knocked off Wisconsin, it was Izzo's turn.

What the Patriots have accomplished is truly unprecedented and it's safe to say that we'll never see anything like this run again. Nick Foles is playing extremely well right now, as is the defense, holding its last four opponents to 10 points or fewer.

Izzo paused for a lengthy period, at least in terms of answering during a news conference, before he replied: "I've cooperated [with] every investigation, every one, and I will continue to cooperate with every investigation, every one".

The media room in the Xfinity Center filled to capacity minutes after Michigan State finished its 74-68 win over Maryland.

"I thought the atmosphere here was phenomenal", he said.

"Izzo: "Nope. And I'm not gonna right now". "Yes, this is something that affects them, but not almost as much. There's 140-something women that we all feel more sorry for". "I thought we did our best job of trying to deal with all the distractions, going on the road and dealing with the distractions of the opposing teams and their fans, and they have an incredible fan base here".

Trailing 37-24 at halftime, the Spartans opened the second half with an 18-4 run to take their first lead of the game.

In the wake of Michigan State losing both its president and its athletic director, both in decidedly unceremonious fashion, to whom does Izzo answer?

Izzo, who turns 63 on Tuesday and is in his 23rd year as a head coach, said, "There have been more life lessons learned this year than ever". "We said it this summer that free throws were going to be a big part of our winning big games, and we needed every free throw to win them".
