After Amazon released Alexa, Google shouted their new assistant, too, at the CES event this year.
The tech major presently provides 3 Home gadgets namely the Home Max, the original Home, and the Home Mini.
The idea is for Google to remain competitive with Amazon's Alexa.
With that being said, according to sources familiar with Google's plans, the company will revamp its existing online store in February.

With Amazon dominating CES previous year with Alexa, it seems that Google can no longer ignore Alexa's growing influence even though Google Assistant is available on phones and tablets.
Lenovo also included a base stand which lets users display the device either horizontally or vertically.
Not a lot is known about the specs, but Google has confirmed the smart display will run on the Qualcomm SD624 Home Hub Platform.
The Google Assistant could echo Amazon's Alexa in selling products and services by voice, insiders claim, with the search giant hunting ways to close the gap between the smart speaker technologies. The smart display will play music, display calendar, weather and Google Maps, among other things. Though Google released a cheaper version of its smart speaker, the Google Home Mini, late previous year, Amazon's aggressive promotions of the discounted Echo Dot are believed to have made it the holiday sales victor. LG is playing both sides, in fact. However, storage specifications do not really matter much on devices likes these, as its role is to respond to voice commands and deliver requests via its display. In the smart home of the future, you'll be able to interact with your appliances and devices using only your voice.
