Emberg's many other roles across her six decade TV career included parts in sitcoms such as Father, Dear Father, George & Mildred and A Sharp Intake Of Breath.
The comedian joined former co-star Les Dennis and personalities including Paul Chuckle and Cheryl Fergison to pay tribute to the veteran actress.

She popped up three times in Doctor Who, most notably as Mrs Croot in the Tenth Doctor adventure Love & Monsters, with David Tennant as the Timelord and Peter Kay as monstrous alien The Abzorbaloff.
Russ Abbot, 70, was reported to have told the Press Association: "She was not only a great sport but a huge comedy talent".
Abbot paid tribute to Emberg as news of her passing broke, lauding the actress as "a woman of vast warmth and generosity".

The Brighton-born actress is most known for her role as Blunder Woman in the 1980s TV programme The Russ Abbot Show.

Speaking previous year in an interview with The Mirror, Emberg recalled trying on the Blunder Woman costume for the first time.
"We've been chums since appearing together in a Summer show with Russ Abbot at the Princess Theatre, Torquay in 1981".
She said: 'Blunderwoman saved my career - and I still view her as a complete blessing.
One of the series' producers, Charlie Hanson, said Emberg was a "lovely and amusing woman" and a "brilliant" actress.
