Maryland lawmakers, Mayor Pugh condemn Trump's comments on immigrants
President Donald Trump denies calling Haiti, El Salvador and a few African countries "s-hole countries" during a lawmaker meeting in the Oval Office Thursday, but some people don't believe him - including leaders from some of those countries. Democratic senator Dick Durbin also condemned Mr Trump's language during the meeting as "hate-filled, vile and racist".
U.S. Congressman Steny Hoyer, a Democrat, said "President Trump's comments are racist and a disgrace". They reaffirm that hateful language is unacceptable from any president, regardless of political party. Never said "take them out".
The president implied Friday morning on Twitter that maybe he should start recording meetings because there is no trust.
Botswana officials noted that they had "summoned" U.S. Ambassador Earl R. Miller regarding the statements that President Trump had made during a meeting with lawmakers a day earlier, during which the chief executive allegedly exclaimed: "What do we want Haitians here for?"
"Why are we having all these people from s***hole countries come here?" "Do we need more Haitians?'"
Special status given to about 59,000 Haitian immigrants, that has protected them from deportation following the 2010 natural disaster, will end next year following a Trump administration ruling last month. He then reportedly asked why the United States didn't bring in more immigrants from a country like Norway.
Earlier, El Salvador sent a note of protest to the USA government condemning Trump's alleged remarks.
"Given the historical reality of how many Africans arrived in the United States as slaves, this statement flies in the face of all accepted behaviour and practice", AU spokeswoman Ebba Kalondo said on Friday.

It's one of those things where I feel like our fan base has been gearing up all year, and the closer we get, the louder they get. Foles was awfully shaky in place of the injured Carson Wentz and the team fumbled four times , losing two of them.
Al Jazeera's Kimberly Halkett, reporting from Washington, DC, said: "The calls for the president to apologise for his remarks are intensifying inside and outside the United States, but for now, that apology does not appear likely".
Jewish American pundit and Republican commentator Bill Kristol, who has been a longtime critic of the president, tweeted: "Two weeks ago a 26-year-old soldier raced repeatedly into a burning Bronx apartment building, saving four people before he died in the flames".
Rush, who has sponsored articles of impeachment and plans to sponsor articles to censure the president, said Trump had "stooped to a new level" with his comments.

Around 700,000 people are now enrolled in the DACA program, which allows enrollees to live and work in the us for two-year periods.
Mr Trump also took issue with the idea that, while a lottery that benefits people from Africa and other nations would be ended, there could be another way for them to apply.
"For example, let's say you think black people are lesser and let's say you're also going to talk about it in public", he continued.
