Trump decided to extend sanction relief for Iran – report
The spokesman for the Iranian parliament presiding board has warned that in case the US violates the 2015 nuclear deal, called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the Islamic Republic's reaction would surprise the world.
The White House said earlier this week it was "deeply concerned" at the number of arrests the Iranian government had made against people "engaging in peaceful protests".
"JCPOA is not renegotiable; rather than repeating exhausted rhetoric, the United States must bring itself to full compliance, just like Iran", he said.
Waiving sanctions on Iran for what he says is the final time, President Donald Trump has warned that unless "terrible flaws" in the 2015 nuclear deal are fixed, the United States will withdraw from it.
Trump signed a waiver keeping the USA sanctions that would scuttle the deal suspended for another 120 days.
"This is a last chance". The 2015 agreement between the United States and Iran also was signed by China, France, Russia, Britain, Germany and the European Union, and these countries would have been unlikely to join the United States in reimposing sanctions.
On Friday, Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Twitter Mr Trump's decision undermined the multilateral agreement.
"Instead I have outlined two possible paths forward: either fix the deal's disastrous flaws, or the United States will withdraw", he added. And they say he's not going to talk to Iran about this, only to the Europeans who were involved in making this deal.

"Naming and shaming Sadegh Larijani is one small way the USA can bring its human-rights policy and coercive economic strategy against Iran into greater alignment", said Behnam Ben Taleblu, Iran expert at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies in Washington.
A key element of Trump's plan is that sanctions will be reimposed - or "snap back" - automatically if Congress finds Iran to be violating the terms of the accord.
Despite signing off on the waivers, Trump's Treasury Department targeted several Iranian officials with sanctions over human rights abuses and ballistic missile development. Make the deal tougher, or the US will stop keeping its end of the bargain with sanctions relief. The law had imposed sanctions on companies that provided insurance or reinsurance services for Iran's national oil company and national tanker company.
"This is a last chance", Donald Trump said in a statement, Efe reported.
And we've heard from the various European leaders just a couple of days ago that this is a working deal and IAEA through 9 reports has confirmed that Iran has fully fulfilled its obligations. He said the new deal should curb Iran's missile programme and include permanent restrictions on Iran's nuclear plants, removing expiration dates due to kick in after a decade.
"I have been very clear about my opinion of that deal", Trump said in his January 12 statement.
"Ballistic capability is the only deterrent against enemy threats", Boroujerdi was quoted by ISNA as saying, "after Iran has agreed to have no nuclear weapons and to use no weapons of mass destruction such as chemical and biological weapons, because it is totally against the use of weapons of mass destruction". But it has said it would "shred" the deal if Washington quit.
Washington policy hawks hailed Trump's decision, which they said would concentrate minds in Europe, where leaders have urged the U.S. president not to sabotage a deal they see as a landmark diplomatic success.
