Trump issues ultimatum to 'fix' Iran nuclear deal

President Trump Ignore the Iran Deal"fixers and just kill

"The nuclear deal is an internationally recognized and concluded pact and is not renegotiable", Tehran's Foreign Ministry said in a statement, adding that Iran "will not accept any change in the deal, neither now nor in future".

Trump said he would waive sanctions against Iran that were lifted as part of the global deal for the last time unless his conditions were met.

Iranian officials have stressed they will not reopen negotiations on the accord, which required Tehran to dismantle or destroy most of its nuclear infrastructure in exchange for easing of most global sanctions. He said that he wanted to give the United States and European allies a final chance to amend the pact. However, the ministry did not specify when the response would come. Others were linked to support for the country's ballistic missile program.

A statement from French President Emmanuel Macron on January 13 called for the "necessary respect" of the nuclear deal.

The chief diplomat added, "Rather than repeating exhausted rhetoric, US must bring itself into full compliance -just like Iran".

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Moscow has a "very negative stance" on the decisions and comments made by Trump about Iran, according to state news agency Sputnik. "Our worst fears are being confirmed", he said.

The ministry has once again reiterated the country's position on the issue, opposing the United States move concerning the Iran nuclear deal.

"So Trump now has issued explicit May deadline to Congress and Europeans: Fix Iran nuke deal or no more sanctions waivers", wrote Mark Dubowitz, head of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. The waivers the president issued Friday make it easier for banks around the world to do business with Iran and for Iran to sell oil. He also wants Tehran's ballistic missile program to be addressed.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Electronic Warfare and Cyber Defense Organization were each labeled for acting on behalf of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard.

The Treasury Department also listed several Chinese individuals and companies for breaking similar rules to provide materials to Iran that could be used in navigation and weapons systems. The new measures concern human rights abuses and censorship in Iran and the arming of groups throughout the region. He also called on Iran to stay calm and continue to fulfil obligations under the deal.

Trump had certified the deal twice before, and senior officials have grudgingly said Iran is complying. Without a fix, Trump has threatened to withdraw.

Iran says its nuclear programme has only peaceful aims and says it will stick to the accord as long as others respect it. The Europeans, meanwhile, have said they are willing to discuss the matter with the US but have shown little enthusiasm with Trump's hard line. It was agreed upon by the United States under the administration of former President Barack Obama, Iran and five other countries in July 2015.

Iran has said that it will retaliate against the sanctions imposed by the United States on the head of its judiciary, Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli-Larijani.
