Trump Says Dollar to Strengthen, Mnuchin 'Taken Out of Context'
President Donald Trump n Friday pushed his "America First" message overseas as news broke at home that he had tried to fire the special counsel investigating him.

His plenary address, though, was largely boilerplate.
The officials said Trump would call on the entire worldwide community to come together to tackle a host of issues, from ISIS to North Korea's nuclear programme.
The Palestinians, he said, "disrespected us" by not "allowing our great vice president to see them, and we give them hundreds of millions of dollars in aid support".
But a thrust of his visit has been to convince business leaders to step up investment in the United States. Last year, he canceled Barack Obama's Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and launched a renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement.
"When it comes to terrorism, we will do whatever it takes to protect our nation", Trump said, adding that the fight against radical Islam is not over.
The rare, if not unprecedented, performance by the "Landwehr of Fribourg" band at the Davos gathering of academics, executives, officials and other elites drew a puzzled if not hostile reception from some in the capacity crowd of around 1,500 on hand for Trump's highly anticipated address to the WEF on Friday.

Trump said his administration has undertaken the most extensive regulatory reduction "ever conceived".
"We want the world to invest in America and to create jobs for hardworking Americans", Cohn said.

Trump invited business leaders in the audience to invest in the US.
He's expected to say that there's never been a better time to invest in the U.S., and champion his own record on GDP growth and job creation.
"I believe in America", Trump told a jam-packed auditorium at the conclusion of the annual World Economic Forum.
His speech on Friday will follow a week of warnings by European leaders on the dangers of nationalism, isolationism and protectionism.
