Two ejected after scrum erupts during Gamecocks-Missouri women's basketball game

SC and Missouri's bitter rivalry boiled over into shoving and ejections on Sunday evening just before halftime. It figured to be a competitive game, but few expected an actual fight to break out between the two teams. SC redshirt junior forward Alexis Jennings and Missouri redshirt senior forward Kayla Michael went to the floor after a loose ball. The two got into it, and there was some pushing and shoving between the two.

While this is being done, Missouri's best player, Sophie Cunningham, tries to get in between SC players to help Mitchell up.

Tensions between the two teams have been high ever since they faced off on January 7 in Columbia, Missouri. Cunningham appeared to shove both Gamecocks, and Cliney seemed to get a push to Cunningham's face in as well. Next up, the Tigers host No. 2 Mississippi State (22-0, 8-0) on Thursday. After a lengthy video review by the officials, Mizzou's Jordan Roundtree (Kirkwood) and Nadia Green were both ejected for leaving the bench during the melee, though both retreated to the sideline before getting close to the action on the court.

He once again was the primary factor in getting the Patriots back to their third Super Bowl appearance in the last four seasons. Tight end Rob Gronkowski also was at practice, returning to workouts after starting the week in the NFL's concussion protocol.
