NET on July 8, scheme revised
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the dates for next UGC-NET 2018. The notification also states important changes introduced in the paper and dates for form filling.
NEET 2018 online application forms are expected to be released by the CBSE by Jan 31, 2018 on the official website at cbseneet.nic.in online.
The last date to apply is April 05, 2018, but the payment of fee can be done until April 06, 2018. Both the papers would carry 100 marks each. Timings: 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Now, aspirants would have to appear for only Paper I (100marks) and Paper II (200 marks). All multiple choice questions would be compulsory.
The notification said the first paper would test the reasoning ability, general awareness and teaching or research aptitude of the candidate.
Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying two marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate. The duration for second paper will be two hours.
CBSE also notified that there will be a no change in the syllabus pattern will remain same like previous year. The age relaxation rules remain the same.

No comment has been received from CBSE if the paper will be held twice this year or once. On the other hand, major changes have been made to CBSE UGC NET.
Over 11 candidates appeared for the medical entrance test that was conducted on May 7 previous year. Taking three papers back to back made the candidate too worn out to perform well in the exam.
For reserved categories, the new age limit is now 35 years. According to UGC now it will depend on NET marks which student will get Fellowship.
