R Kelly Wendy Williams
"The 'Me Too" movement hasn't affected R. Kelly, 'cause R. Kelly, he wasn't a 'Me Too.' Aaliyah voluntarily married him when she was 15 years old. Fans are absolutely furious - see their tweets.
Wendy Williams' latest commentary on her talk show Thursday morning may have ruffled a few feathers. Williams said she blames parents of teens for their alleged encounters with Kelly.
Wendy went on to explain how #MeToo doesn't apply to R.Kelly because he married Aaliyah as a teenager after she agreed to. The singer had been accused of holding young women captive and making them his "sex slave". The 53-year-old daytime talk host mentioned the current women's rights movement while mentioning another recent movement aimed at removing R.Kelly from the music industry. Take a look at reactions below followed by a video of the Wendy Williams segment.
R. Kelly (left) has a slew of sexual misconduct allegations against him. "And that little girl that I saw with my own eyeballs that he urinated on and he had his way with, was there at his house, she let it go down".
We don't know where to begin with how wrong that statement is. And her parents voluntarily let her do it, when she was 15 years old. She was a minor, and deserved better. Having a partner doesn't mean someone isn't also an abuser.

Later on in the show, while she was discussing Pamela Anderson dating a younger man, completely unrelated to the #MeToo movement, Wendy blurted 'I'm sick of this #MeToo movement'. So dissappointed in you Wendy.
'I heard what Wendy said and was disgusted by it. Her reckless and clearly uninformed opinion helps to perpetuate a culture of victim-blaming and utter disregard for the abuse of black women.
Toward the end of the segment, Williams emphasized her distaste for the #MeToo movement, which started in October after bombshell exposés about disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein were published by The New York Times and The New Yorker.
I tried to hold my tongue, but I can't. FOCUS - HE IS THE PREDATOR - period.
