After Jackson became the father of Prince in 1997 and Paris in 1998, he asked Culkin to become their godfather.
During an in-depth interview on Marc Maron's WTF podcast, Macaulay Culkin made it clear talking about his goddaughter Paris Jackson's personal life was off limits. "I'm going to warn you now, I am very protective of her so just look out", he explained. "I'm a very open book when it comes to things but like with her, she is beloved by me".
Maron said he wasn't looking for any "dirt", which Culkin understood. According to a report, the 37-year-old revealed that his father was "jealous' of him and use to threatened him by saying, "Do good or I'll hit you". I'm just letting you know if we want to start going down that road it's going to be a dead end, but I mean that in the fact that I love her so much.
When asked how the 19-year-old is doing in general, Culkin said fondly, "She's tall, and lovely, and smart".
Macaulay and Paris have frequently been seen bonding on social media, even getting matching tattoos of spoons last summer.
Culkin admitted that Jackson was "emotionally young" and "enjoyed my youthfulness". There was a 22 year difference between the two, making it feel very suspect that they shared such a close bond.
Macaulay Culkin has accused his father of being "mentally and physically" abusive to him as a child.

Culkin said he's not receptive to resuming contact, mostly because he said his father has never expressed willingness to make amends for anything he did while raising him.
Culkin went on to call his parents' separation "one of the best things that happened" and a move that allowed him to walk away from show business.
"I wanted to take a break for a while and eventually I was like 'I'm done guys, hope you all made your money because there is no more coming from me, '" Culkin said.
"Honestly, I don't think he deserves it", Culkin said. "I'm living a good life".
