Several people have been sent to hospital following a multi-vehicle collision on the EB QEW at Cawthra on Saturday January 27th

Police are now saying they suspect road rage may have been the cause of a deadly chain-reaction crash on the QEW in Mississauga that killed a 22-year-old college student from Niagara Falls.

That sudden slowdown caused the multi-vehicle collision, and four vehicles back, a pickup truck hit a auto carrying Nicole Turcotte, 22, of Niagara Falls, who was critically injured and died in hospital overnight.

Another passenger in that auto, a 19-year-old Niagara Falls woman, was critically injured and is still in hospital "with her family by her side", Schmidt said.

Schmidt said "there may in fact be a sixth vehicle that was indirectly involved that triggered this whole chain-reaction crash". The vehicle is described as small, possibly a Honda Civic, and its license plate is believed to have begun with letters C and E.

Police are continuing to investigate this collision and are appealing to any witnesses who may have seen what happened.

The iPhone SE 2 price was said to be about $450, which is about the same as the launch price of the original iPhone SE. According to a new report from DigiTimes, Apple set the iPhone SE 2 release date on either May or June.

Schmidt said that four vehicles back, a pickup truck slammed into the back of a Toyota with three occupants, including Turcotte, the injured passenger and a male driver.

A multi-vehicle crash that left one woman dead and another fighting for her life in hospital may have been the result of a road rage "brake check" by a driver who sped away as the collision unfolded.

He urged the driver to get a lawyer and contact police.

"Those kind of actions where drivers take liberties, trying to demonstrate what they believe is right or wrong, may have completely unexpected consequences", said Schmidt.
