Mi 6X to be powered by Xiaomi's Surge S2 octa-core processor: Report
Given a variant of the Mi 5X was launched as Mi A1 outside China, we might see Mi 6X as Mi A2, but it is pure speculation at this point.
The Xiaomi Mi 7 and Mi 6X could be among the first devices to be released by the company in 2018 but the second half of the year could also be quite interesting as the Mi Mix 3 and Mi Max 3 are also appearing in images. The Xiaomi Surge S1 was announced previous year, the company's very first mobile SoC, and it fueled one of the company's smartphones, the Xiaomi Mi 5c. There are a lot of rumors circulating in the market regarding Mi 7. The Mi 7 also will be packed with a 3950mAh battery and support dual-SIM dual-standby. Fresh leaks suggest that the Chinese manufacturer will launch the alleged Surge S2 chipset at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in the next month. Moreover, the smartphone will carry a dual camera on the rear alongside a fingerprint sensor. Up front, the device is tipped to house a 16MP image sensor. One more thing that we have come to know from leak is that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will come with rounded edges. Both the leaks, suggest that the Mi 7 may feature a traditional fingerprint scanner on the back. The company has not given any details or hints on what it plans to unveil but rumors are saying that Xiaomi might unveil the Mi 7 there. Naijatech has leaked the latest rumor based on Weibo leaks.
Weibo has also leaked the back cover of Mi 6X. Looking at the above image, it seems the Mi 7 sports a combination of glass and metal design.
