Bollywood actor-director Farhan Akhtar has become the latest celebrity to quit the social network in the wake of the Facebook data breach row.

He announced this message on Twitter, "Good morning".

Well, Farhan is not the only actor who has deleted his personal account on Facebook. "However, the verified FarhanAkhtarLive page is still active", tweeted Akhtar. He took to Twitter to inform everyone that he has permanently deleted his personal Facebook page. His quitting comes after several worldwide celebrities including Elon Musk, Cher and Jim Carrey quite FB due to heightened sensitivity over abuse of personal data. Facebook alleges that it has been deceived by an upstart voter profiling company to harvest personal Facebook details of over 50 million users without their consent and use it to build algorithms that allegedly helped Trump win the USA election in 2016.

Last week, entrepreneur Elon Musk also deleted Facebook pages of SpaceX, Tesla, and his own official account on the social media platform after being dared by a user on a micro-blogging site.
