Android Oreo is now available for the Razer Phone as a developer preview, based on 8.1
While the Razer Phone comes with powerful hardware under the hood, it did disappoint some on the software front as it ran Android Nougat out of the box instead of Oreo.
Do you have a Razer Phone? Before you begin, be sure to have everything backed up and understand that even when the official 8.1 Oreo update does arrive, you won't receive it through an over-the-air update if on the Preview build.

The Android 8.1 Oreo update (developer preview edition) appeared for developers - or whoever else wanted to take part - over at [Razer] at their Android Oreo Developer Preview Image for Razer Phone page. The good news is that if you don't think you can wait that long, Razer has announced that the Android Oreo developer preview for the Razer Phone is available if you'd like to get a taste. The company confirmed the update plans along with a broad update window, saying that the new software will land on the Razer Phone in "mid to late April 2018".
