Anything you're hoping to see in Wear OS? An arbitrary renaming of a tech product is usually one of the first signs of a lack of faith in a concept.
Android Wear used to be my personal favorite wearable OS, and I religiously wore the Samsung Gear Live, Moto 360, and Huawei Watch. Thankfully, Google appears to be planning a complete rebrand for Android Wear to breath new life into it.
Now, with Android P in works, Google is experimenting with a new rounded search bar (similar to the one seen on its Pixel launcher) on its mobile site. There are entirely too many ways that Google Lens now available on the mass-based Android can be misused, and it is the company's responsibility to ensure they start taking measures to avoid that from happening.

If you're an iPhone owner, the word Android generally means something isn't compatible with your phone. However, thanks to lackluster hardware that was released to debut Android Wear 2.0, the platform's kind of been in a rut for over a year now. In addition, the screen named the operating system "Wear OS" rather than Android Wear.
Although the rebrand is now just a rumor, it's becoming a bit of a trend for Google with its Android products. The reason for this is probably due to neutrality, same reason that Android Pay was rebranded to Google Pay which is because Android Pay could be used on Apple phones.
