Authorities evacuate Solano College campuses due to bomb threat

Sheriff's K-9 teams have rendered all three campuses of Solano Community College safe Monday evening, sheriff's officials said.

College administrators ordered the campuses evacuated as a precaution after receiving two anonymous phone calls indicating bombs had been placed on the campuses. The Solano County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the campuses.

Two calls came in regarding a non-specific bomb threat for all three campuses (Fairfield, Vacaville, and Vallejo). All classes were canceled for the remainder of the day.

Law enforcement officers spent the afternoon searching the campuses. No suspicious items or explosives have been found at any of the campus, authorities say.

"We ask for your continued patience and want to ensure all our college students and staff members are safe", the sheriff's department wrote.
