Ryan Grant not be headed to Baltimore after all

Baltimore is expected to sign Washington Redskins free agent wide receiver Ryan Grant to a four-year deal, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The deal, which reportedly included $14.5 million in guarantees, is in jeopardy after Grant failed his physical on Thursday.

Mere moments after the Raiders released wide receiver Michael Crabtree Thursday, Oakland signed former Packers WR Jordy Nelson.

Some may find it curious that the Ravens are saying Grant failed his physical.

Man pleads guilty to stabbing woman to death in Aldi

Crabtree is a proven, veteran wide receiver and that's exactly what the Baltimore Ravens need right now. According to Schefter, Crabtree is scheduled to meet with the Ravens on Friday.

Crabtree, who turns 31 in September, had 58 catches for 618 yards and eight touchdowns this past season. Grant had the best season of his career a year ago, finishing the season with 45 catches for 573 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 12.7 yards per catch. Cornerback Jimmy Smith broke up the pass in the end zone, and the Ravens escaped with a 34-31 win.

General Manager Ozzie Newsome vowed to change the personnel in the Ravens' receivers room this offseason, and two reported deals in one day would do just that.
